Western New York Grants

Heart Love & Soul in Niagara Falls, NY is dedicated to feeding those in need; body, mind and soul.

East Hill Foundation considers grant applications from qualified 501(c)(3) organizations, which address community needs and opportunities designed to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Western New York, primarily Erie and Niagara counties.

Funding priorities include basic human needs projects for food, clothing and shelter to assist those less fortunate in our community.

WNY 501(c)(3) organizations located in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming counties are welcome to apply.  However, the East Hill Board encourages projects that serve basic human needs, such as providing food and shelter for the needy in Erie and Niagara counties.  WNY Grants are available in amounts of $50,000 and under.  Please contact Michele Schmidt mschmidt@easthillfdn.org at the East Hill Foundation Office at 716-204-0204 ext. 201 for further information.

East Hill Foundation strictly adheres to the application deadline dates. Completed Grant Applications are reviewed by the East Hill Foundation Board of Directors. The Foundation staff may request a site visit prior to the Board of Directors meeting. Organizations are notified in writing as to the Board of Directors’ determinations.

East Hill Foundation is able to fund only a limited number of the requests received. Only one application per organization may be considered. All organizations receiving a grant from the Foundation are required to sign a formal grant contract and complete a final grant report at the conclusion of the grant period. Interim progress reports may also be required.

Since 1982, Heart, Love & Soul has served as an oasis of help for thousands of residents of WNY, especially Niagara Falls.

The WNY Grant Application is a 2-step process.  This begins with completing the on-line Letter of Intent Form.  If the Letter of Intent Form is accepted, the applicant is invited to complete the on-line Grant Application Form.  The Letter of Intent Form is reviewed by a Screening Committee of East Hill Board and Staff.  Grant Applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors and site visits are scheduled.
