East Hill Foundation considers grant applications from qualified 501(c)(3) organizations, which address community needs and opportunities designed to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Western New York. Community giving is primarily focused within the eight counties of Western New York: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming County.
The East Hill Foundation welcomes inquiries from nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations for grant funding for the Western New York area. The next Grant Application deadline date for organizations located in and serving the Western New York area is August 3, 2015.
All WNY 501(c)(3) organizations are welcome to apply; however, the East Hill Board encourages projects that serve basic human needs, such as providing food and shelter for the needy. East Hill Foundation strictly adheres to the application deadline dates. Grant Applications must be postmarked on or before the deadline date and sent via First Class Mail. Completed Grant Applications with all the required attachments are reviewed by the East Hill Foundation Board of Directors in October. The Foundation staff may request a site visit prior to the Board of Directors meeting. Organizations are notified in writing as to the Board of Directors’ determinations.
East Hill Foundation is able to fund only a limited number of the requests received. Only one application per organization may be considered. All organizations receiving a grant from the Foundation are required to sign a formal grant contract and complete a final grant report at the conclusion of the grant period. Interim progress reports may also be required.
